The Mazda Koeru concept at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show is previewing a future crossover model.
The name, which means “exceed” or “go beyond” is what Mazda is aiming for with the crossover by delivering value that goes well beyond what’s currently offered in the segment. The exterior shows an evolution of the Japanese automaker’s Kodo design language, featuring LED lights along with front and rear fenders that extend towards large wheels.
The Koeru concept sits on a 106.3-inch wheelbase and measures 181.1-inches long, 74.8-inches wide and 59.1-inches tall. It is believed that the Koeru concept previews a CX-5 coupe model that could take the CX-4 name when it heads to production.
