Mazda MX-5 comes with gorgeous Sport Recaro Limited Edition image
The Japanese automaker is keeping interest high for its latest generation of the iconic MX-5 Miata, premiering the Sport Recaro Limited Edition as the flagship version for the model.
The new Mazda MX-5 Sport Recaro Limited Edition grows form the 2.0-liter Sport Nav trim level, with the new top choice keeping the “finely balanced performance and handling of the standard car” and delivering “added exclusivity and sporty styling enhancements inside and out.” Just 600 units will be produced, so exclusivity has been nailed, with the special model employing a beautiful Brilliant Black Sports Aero kit that comes with new front, side and rear skirts and a spoiler – but we also saw piano black side mirrors and a new set of alloys in 17-inch with diamond cut and engraved MX-5 logo.
Inside the convertible we can see the Alcantara dashboard panel, alloy pedals and bespoke floor mats, while the Recaro moniker shows its meaning by catering to the seats clad in Alcantara upholstery and red stitching, which can also be had on the dash, handbrake and gear selector.
Other highlights include the LED headlights, leather steering wheel, air-conditioning, DAB radio, integrated navigation system (three years of updates for European maps), rain sensors, rear parking sonar, smart keyless entry, premium Bose sound system and cruise control.
The powertrain has not been modified, with the special edition only available for the top 2.0-liter SKYACTIV-G petrol engine churning out 160 HP (118 kW) but the model now has a retuned sports suspension with Bilstein dampers, a limited slip differential and strut tower bar.
