Mazda prices the 2016 CX-9 from $31,520 in the US image

Set to arrive at dealerships across the United States later this spring, the all new 2016 CX-9 sport utility model has received a starting price tag of $31,520.

The base CX-9 Sport will be treated as standard to LED lighting units and 18-inch alloy wheels, fabric seats, a rearview camera, and a Mazda Connect infotainment system with a seven-inch display. Owners can also upgrade via the $950 Sport Package which comes with a power driver’s seat, heated front seats, and heated exterior mirrors. The CX-9 Touring will be priced from $35,970 and for the cash future owners will get leather upholstery, power front seats, and a Mazda Connect infotainment system with a bigger 8-inch display. Among others, the model also packs an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power liftgate, and a keyless entry system. As in the base model, there’s also an upgrade available – the $1,745 Touring Premium Package which adds a sunroof, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, and GPS navigation. There’s also a SiriusXM satellite radio, rear backup sensors, second-row retractable sunshades, as well as automatic Smart City Brake Support.

For $40,170 you can go for the CX-9 Grand Touring which adds on top of all the aforementioned amenities an adaptive front-lighting system, roof rails, and 20-inch alloy wheels. There’s also aluminum interior trim, a memory function for the driver’s seat as well as a wide array of safety systems including lane-keep assist, a lane-departure warning system, and a radar-based cruise control system with Smart Brake support. The flagship CX-9 Signature will start at $44,015 and comes with Nappa leather upholstery and rosewood trim supplied by Japanese guitar-maker Fujigen, LED ambient lighting and a standard all-wheel drive system.
